Reflections of Tornado Destruction

In the past months, two of the worst tornadoes to hit the United States in decades touched down in the South leaving broken homes, hearts and towns. Being in the insurance industry, we are no stranger to picking up the pieces and these storms were no exception.  Foremost and our parent company, Farmers have been in the south since the first devastating tornado touched down and will continue until the job is done.  What job is that you ask?  Not only are we an insurance company who answers your claims personally, but we also care.  Our buses have been on-site volunteering, feeding, taking claims and helping with whatever we can. But, the true heroes that emerge from this devastation are the people of Alabama and Missouri. One of our own has been in Tuscaloosa, AL and Joplin, MO and shares with us his reflection and photos:

“I have had the privilege of working hand and hand with the amazing people of Joplin. The town may have been set back, but the people will rebuild and make it a better town for all who live here and visit. I’ve been touched by the stories of those who climbed out of rubble and others who told me that their claim was not a priority even though they have rooms of their house missing and a leaking roof. Having now been to Tuscalossa and now Joplin, it is an honor to help our insured’s rebuild. Moreover, the will and determination of the American Spirit is alive throughout our country.”

The powerful force of the tornado destruction.

Since all the mail boxes are gone and there are not streets signs people are spray painting their homes so the adjusters in the area could find the right home.
